Radio Regent Radio Regent is a public access, 24/7 internet radio station operated by the Focus Media Arts Centre. Our radio programs are hosted by a variety of diverse people, ranging from those with years of experience in FM radio broadcasting, as well as people completely new. The Regent Park Focus Audio Programs provides hands-on practical training to participants seeking to learn how to produce and present a radio show or podcast. Guided by staff and professional broadcasters with experience, you will learn the skills you need to host your own live broadcast on the Radio Regent's radio station. If you have no previous experience and want to become a radio DJ, then this course provides a great foundation from which to build your career. If you already have some radio experience and want to further your knowledge and expertise, then take a look at the Advanced Radio Course involving: portable recorders and how to use them; interview techniques and phrasing your questions, tips, tricks and pitfalls; audio editing; creating ID's, trailers and PSA's; Radio dramas; and Radio Documentaries; Regent Park Focus also provides DJ Workshops and in-school, after-school and summer programs for students and young people.

Adult Audio Training Workshops

Interested in becoming a Radio Regent Programmer or developing your radio/audio production and post-production skills? Schedule a training sessions. Sessions are regularly held on:

Tuesdays 2-3 PM
Wednesdays 12-1 PM
Thursdays 4-5 PM

Regent Park Focus DJ Workshop

The Complete DJ Course is a comprehensive program which guides students through the full range of DJ skills: beatmatching, CD and vinyl mixing, digital DJing, introduction to scratching … it's all here. Classes are taught by professional DJs. All music styles are welcome and every student completing the DJ course will have free access to Radio Regent's DJ studio facilities whenever its available.
