Youth Programs

Regent Park Focus provides a variety of FREE multi-media programs all year round to youth. Tackling social justice issues through the use of audio, video and new media technology. The youth have the opportunity to gain experience in many different types of broadcasting equipment, software and journalistic practices.

Radio Production



Every Tuesday, Regent Park Focus hosts a youth led radio show "Catch da Flava", between 6pm – 7pm EST, that goes live to air on Radio Regent. Anyone between the ages of 16 – 24 can join. We meet up at around 5pm to prep and research for the show. This is a great way to connect with other like minded students and learn the technical skills of radio broadcasting and journalism.

TV Production



RPTV has over 20 different unique TV shows. Anyone is welcome to volunteer and gain television experience through the process of assisting or leading the productions. You could be a researcher, a script-writer, a camera operator, an editor, even a producer... or all of the above! You will gain skills in all levels of pre-production, production and post-production. Diva's Media Group



The Diva's Media Group is an all girls group that meets up every Friday at 5pm – 6:30pm, to work together to create and discuss issues related to feminism, sexism and other social justice issues affecting young women. The program includes arts and crafts workshops and radio and TV productions that will be aired on Radio Regent and RPTV. We are accepting applications for girls between the ages of 12–19 to register.
